the Banff Gondola

David and Ruth treated us to a ride up the Banff Gondola. It was great! Stefan realized, after about 30 seconds that he actually dislikes gondolas--A LOT, hence the funny facial expression. He held my hand really tight, especially over the "bumps" at the gondola towers.

Check out how far we were from Wellington, New Zealand, pretty far eh?

Lake Louise with Ruth and David

This is why people travel to Canada, just so they can stand and weep at the beauty of this place. That's what Ruth and David did.

It was a beautiful day, and once we waded through the bus loads of Japanese tourists with megaphones, we had a peaceful walk around. Sitting amongst the flowers, we enjoyed morning tea (still hot in the thermos from home) and soaked in the lovely Louise.
